Christmas - Round 1

On Monday the 20th the Christmas festivities began. Uncle Drew came in town that afternoon to come celebrate with us. Grammy and Papa Curt came over too. We all ate dinner together and the boys probably ate the fastest they ever have because they were so excited to open all the presents that were brought over to them. The boys had so much fun tearing through all the presents. Suprisingly it didn't take them considering the amount they unwrapped. Afterwards we (anybody over the age of 4) got to put together all the new toys and install batteries. The boys had so much fun playing with all of their stuff. I even had fun playing with my new toy, a new camera! You'll soon see the quality of my pictures will greatly improve! If you want to see some cute pics of the evening go to http://www.danbecky.com/.

Reindeer Food

On Saturday the 18th, Dan, the boys, and I made reindeer food. We mixed the oats with sparkles (so the reindeer can find them at night). After mixing everything together, the boys vigorously shook the mixture and put the food into bags to spread in our yard for the reindeer to snack on. We put the food out on the 23rd since it was suppose to rain on Christmas Eve. We wanted to make sure that the reindeers had food to eat and sparkle to help them guide Santa to our house.

Grammy Spends the night

Grammy Spent the night on the 17th so that Dan and I could go to his work party and have an evening to ourselves. They are so few and far between that we were going to take full advantage of this opportunity. We had a lot of fun at the party and came home to a nice quiet house. The next morning we all got up and went to Cracker Barrel. Then we went shopping for a bit to stretch our legs after stuffing ourselves. The boys loved having a chance to have their Grammy spend the night.

Bowling

On Saturday the 11th, we went to Nathan's birthday party and he had a bowling party. The boys have never been bowling before and were very excited about going. They got the hang of it by the end and even started to roll the ball down there by themselves; however, it did take forever to get there. All Cameron has talked about since is having a bowling party for his 5th birthday.

6 months old!!

Meredith had her half birthday! She is getting so big. At her 6 month check up she weighed 18 pounds 3 oz and was almost 27 inches. She is scooting around and rolling to whatever she wants to get too. She is eatting lots and lots of babyfood. Nana made the dress she's wearing. Isn't it cute!!

Santa and Cinnabons

Saturday morning we went to Schlotsky's to eat and see Santa. This was their second visit to Santa. We ate cinammon rolls and the kids sat on Santa's lap. There were no tears again and the kids got more excited about Christmas coming.
Later on that day, the kids helped us rake leaves in the backyard. Cameron actually raked one whole bag himself. Hudson played more than he raked and Meredith just tried to eat the leaves.

Gaylord Texan

Thursday night before Nana and Papa left we went to the Gaylord to check the lights out. The boys were so excited to see everything and of course Santa. Everything was beautiful! Santa was the kids favorite part. No tears were shed and we got the cutest picture of all 3 kids sitting with Santa!

Tree trimming

We got to decorate two trees this year. The boys and I decorated the small tree outside their room. This really got them in the spirit to decorate their big tree and get ready for Christmas. On Friday we went to pick out our first real Christmas tree in a while. We found the perfect one with the boys help. We strapped it to the roof of the van and drove it home. On Saturday we trimmed the tree with lights and put all of our ornaments on. There wasn't enough room for all of the ornaments. The boys couldn't wait for the presents that would soon come under the tree.

Nana and Papa Come to visit!

As soon as we got back from Tulsa, we had more company. Nana and Papa came in town for Papa's work. This is the best kind of company because they stay at the Embassy and the boys love going to pick Nana up and eat breakfast with her. Nana helped us get the house cleaned and run errands and of course shop. They were a big help when Dan was out of town. Meredith especially liked Papa this trip!

Thanksgiving in Tulsa

We drove up to Tulsa on Wednesday and got there really late! On Thursday we got up and spent the day with family and ate a delicious meal!! The kids had so much fun seeing Aunt Betty, Uncle Bruce, Alex, Lauren, Aunt Barb, Aunt Joby, Gmom, Gdad, Grammy and Papa Curt. On Friday we went shopping and bought a few things and ate even more food! The kids had so much fun hanging out and playing. On Saturday, Dan, the kids and me went over to G & G's new digs to see them. Their new place is so nice! The boys favorite part was the popcorn. That night we drove around to see the xmas lights. The lights up there were so neat and the boys really got excited about the Christmas season. They can't wait for Santa now!

Aunt Madeline and Uncle Justin

They came to visit us on the way to Aunt Madeline's family on Nov. 21st and stayed for a couple days. The kids had a lot of fun hanging out with them even if Uncle Justin's eye was hurt and he couldn't see them. It just meant that the boys were actually good at hide and go seek for once!

Jumpin Aggies!

The day we beat Nebraska, WHOOP!, we had lots of fun playing outside. Dan and the boys had fun wrestling in the leaves while Meredith and I watched. The boys would pile up the leaves and then destroy the piles. We all had lots of fun, especially watching our Aggies win.

Going Bonkers

On November 15th, Dan took the day off so he could watch the kids while I went to the doctor for a routine check up. After the appointment we took all the kiddos to bonkers. We haven't been here in ages because I could do it while pregnant with Meredith. The boys were so excited to go play with their daddy. They had so much fun. Meredith even had fun watching. When they finished playing, all three boys were stinky and sweaty and ready for naps.

6th Anniversary

Thanks to some good friends, Dan and I were able to go out for our anniversary. We went to the Gaylord Texan after dropping the kids off. We ate at the Old Hickory Steakhouse. It was the best and most expensive steak I've ever had. The best part of the evening was having a little time to ourselves. It hasn't happened very often in the past 4 years(before kids). It's hard to believe that it has been 6 years and sometimes it's hard to believe it hasn't been longer when I see what we've been blessed with. God has been good!

5 months

Meredith is growing like a weed!! She is getting more mobile everday. She can push up on her knees and now can move around a little bit in the walker. One of her biggest accomplishments this month is learning to eat baby food and drink from a sippie cup. She hasn't master either yet, but is doing great! She still loves her brothers and really loves her daddy.

Cameron's Actual Day!

On Cameron's real birthday, we all got up and he got to open a small present from Dan and me. After that we got ready for our day. For lunch we went to McDonald's. I know some of you are thinking that's no big deal. To them, it's huge because I dislike the food at that place so much that we rarely frequent the establishment but for special occasions such as this. We went for lunch and playtime and for some dessert. I have to admit you can't beat their 49 cent cones. The boys had so much fun!
**Pictures are coming soon. Computer being fixed.

Trick or Treat!

Smell my feet!!! Yep that's what the two boys would yell at you. This year Cameron sported a Batman muscle suit. Once that kid makes up his mind to be something he sticks with it. He only wanted to be a black Batman with muscles even though when we got the costume it was at least 2-3 sizes too big. Nana had to doctor it to fit him. Hudson had to continue his obsession with Toy Story and since he was Buzz last year, it was only fitting that he was Woody this time. I decided to make his costume my self with things that we already had. I did make the vest with a little help from Nana. Everything else was things that we found around the house. His costume turned out great. Since I had leftover cow material from the vest, Nana made Meredith a cow jumper to wear with her cow leggings.
We took all 3 kids out to trick or treat. The boys loved it. They only wanted to go to houses that were decorated. Because they were so cute, the boys came home with tons of candy. However, I think their favorite thing was the vampire teeth.

Cameron's Batman Bash!

On Saturday the 23rd, we had Cameron's birthday party at the park. He chose Batman as his birthday theme about 4 months ago and stuck with it. It was suppose to rain that morning, but we lucked out and had a couple of hours of good weather. We had a good crowd so it was good that it was outside. Nana, Grammy, Papa Curt, Uncle Drew, Uncle Josh, Aunt Jenny, cousin Emma and some of Cameron's friend came to the party. The boys started off by feeding the ducks and there were LOTS of them. The ducks really liked the Kix cereal. Then the kids played on the playground. After playing a little while, we opened presents and ate Batman cupcakes.

After having the friends party at the park, we went back to the house to open family presents. Everyone ate lunch first to refuel before going into round 2 of presents. Right before opening presents the tornado sirens went off. Luckily we didn't have to take shelter and Cameron got to open all his presents before naptime. It's amazing how many toys he got. He had so much fun and is already planning next years theme.

Pumpkin, pumpkin

On October 22nd, we went for round 2 of the pumpkin patch. This time we went with family. We brought Uncle Drew, Nana, Uncle Josh, Aunt Jenny and cousin Emma. The boys were so excited to show Emma everything. It was the perfect time to go because no one was there. The kids had a lot of fun looking at all of the cut outs and playing in the jail. We did get a few pictures of the kids in front of the pumpkin patch. It was a great way to start Cameron's birthday weekend.

Fun with Nana

Nana came to visit on October 12th to stay until Cameron's birthday. Nana came to help me while day was on a "business" trip in St. Thomas. While Dan was in the Carribean, we had fun shopping, playing at the park, and watching movies. Nana helped us get everything ready for Cameron's big Batman Bash! What we do without her!

4 months

Woohoo! Sometimes I wish it would slow down because she is my last and other times I'm glad it's going fast because as she gets older, my life gets a little easier. Meredith had her four month check up. She weighed 16 pounds!!! That's almost as much as Cameron weighed at a year. She is such a butterball! This put her in the 92%. She was 25 inches long and was in the 77% for height. She is a social butterfly already and loves to be entertained by her brothers. She constantly craves Cameron's attention. Meredith is starting to roll and scoot. I really want her to stay immobile as long as possible. We plan on starting her on cereal this week because she is constantly trying to steel food off our plates. Meredith is becoming lots of fun and it will be interesting to see what kind of personality she ends up having.
**Above are some of the dresses Nana has made!!

Fire Trucks, oh my!

Today we went to the annual firestation open house. The boys look forward to going to this every year and not for the reason you'd think. The thing that keeps them wanting to come back is the popcorn. Dan stood in line for fifteen minutes to get the popcorn for the boys to go with their Dr. Pepper. The boys loved getting to the firetrucks and the careflight helicopter too. They even got to put a fire out using the hose.

Pumpkin Patch

On the first Saturday of October the family loaded up to head to the pumpkin patch. The boys love going every year for the bounce houses and I like going for the photo ops. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. The weather was gorgeous and the fields were full of pumpkins since it was the first weekend. After taking pics, the kids got to play and wander around. The boys loved the Star Wars cutouts. The bounce houses were their favorite thing to do. They even got to ride the train with dad. I don't think Dan will be doing that again next year; it was a little crowded. Meredith had fun watching.

After the pumpkin patch, we went to schlotsky's to eat. After eating, we went behind the restaurant to feed the fish in the pond. The fish would follow the boys walking on the edge of the bank in hopes of food. I've never seen anything like it.

We had an amazing day with all 3 kids and it was fit free which doesn't happen very often. The pictures of the day are already posted on the right. Enjoy!

Pushing Up, Sitting, and Giggling!

Meredith is getting more active every day. She is always learning new tricks. Hopefully her older brothers will be good teachers. =) Meredith watches them all the time and absolutely loves Cameron. She giggles at him all the time. Meredith is pushing up really well and starting to sit better. It's amazing how quickly babies learn to do all these things. By this time next year, she'll be running and not a baby anymore!

Bike Riding

So we attempted to teach the boys how to ride bikes. Attempt was the key word. The boys got frustrated so easily because they weren't able to pedal very easily. We might need to loosen the chains some. They were just happy to be outside and preferred being pushed anyway. That was the problem, neither dad or mom wanted to push them. Hopefully next time will go better!

3 Months Down!!

Time is flying by! Yippee, is what Dan would say! I'm really trying to enjoy every moment because I know this is our last baby and you don't know what tomorrow will bring. Meredith is getting so big. I don't know the exact number, but it's HEAVY! I'm getting pretty strong from carrying her around. She is pushing up really well now. She loves watching her brothers and is starting to play with her doll now, by playing I mean eating. She is not as fussy as she used to be unless you put her in her carseat and she is smiling a lot. She's starting to reach for me when she wants me and that just makes my heart melt. Meredith got her hair trimmed a little to get rid of some of her random long hairs. She has been really healthy and we are blessed to have two older boys that love their little sister so much!

Labor Day Weekend in Tulsa

For Labor Day weekend, Dan took the Friday off and we drove up to Tulsa to see his grandparents. His grandparents are in his 90s and we wanted to make sure they got to see Meredith. The trip up was difficult and we were all happy to get out of the car. When we got there we went to eat with the family and then enjoyed a beautiful evening at Betty and Bruce's house. The boys loved staying there because of their playset in the backyard. On Saturday, the Birdsongs, Roberts and us went to the children's museum. It was at least called that, but it was more like a playhouse. There was pretend post office, grocery store, cafe, doctor's office, and barbershop. The boys had so much fun exploring. Hudson's favorite place was the grocery store. I think Cameron's was the post office; he still takes my empty envelopes and pretends he's a postmaster. On Saturday night, we grilled and played more outside. The weather the whole weekend was perfect. On Sunday we went to church and spent the day with family. On Monday on our way out of town, we went over to great grandmom and great granddad's house. We were able to get a few more pics of the kids with them. It's amazing to think about a 90+ year old holding a newborn. What a wondrous sight!
** Should have the album uploaded tonight of more pics!

Girls Weekend

The weekend before Labor Day, Meredith and I went on her first plane ride. We flew to Houston to attend a dear friend's funeral. Meredith did great on the plane ride while the boys were doing great at home with their daddy. The boys got to have donuts, eat out, go to toys r us, and rent movies. While they were busy, we had fun at Aunt Jenna and Uncle Jacob's new house. We also got to see Jenny, Josh, and Emma and go to Freebirds with them! YUMMY!! On Sunday we went to Southside to see all of friends. I dearly miss the wonderful church there. We came back home Sunday night to 3 smiling faces. It was so fun to have a break for a day from all 3 kids, but it sure was wonderful getting to have them run up to you so excited to see you when you get back! I sure love my kiddos!

Nana and Papa are here!

Nana and Papa came in town since Papa had to work the week in Dallas. Everyday we'd go to the hotel to pick Nana up. Most mornings we'd go early so we could eat breakfast too. The boys loved the donuts and muffins. Nana helped us run errands, clean and get organized. On Friday we swam at the hotel with the boys. They had so much fun! Meredith just watched since we weren't sure about the water. On Saturday we all went to eat at the hotel and then over to Bass Pro Shop. We had never been there so the boys had a lot of fun exploring and seeing all the animals.

Swimming at Grammy's

The weekend before Grammy's birthday Aunt Betty came in town so we all went to Grammy and Papa's to celebrate and swim. The boys were very excited to show off their moves from swim lessons and Meredith was excited to show off her bathing suit. We all got in the pool, even Meredith and had a lot of fun playing and splashing. The boys loves sailing in their pirate ships. After swimming we go to enjoy some burgers and birthday cake. The boys were more than happy to help Grammy blow out her candles.

2 months old!!

Wow, 2 months already!! Meredith is sleeping through the night! This has made mom and dad very happy. Meredith is smiling and responding more. She still has trouble with her reflux and hates her carseat. At her checkup she weighed 13 lbs 6 oz (97%) and measured 23 in (75%). She's a big girl already!

Thirty - One!

On the 7th, we had Dan's football themed thirty-first birthday party. Dan wanted a Barbie party, but Cameron insisted on a football party with decorations and even party favors. Cameron picked out a Cowboys tshirt for Dan's birthday to go along with the Madden game he was getting. Grammy and Papa Curt came over too to eat at Roadhouse and have some cookie cake. Pictures of the festivities are on www.danbecky.com.

Treasure Hunt!!

Arrgghh!! On July 30th, the boys went to a class at the Senior Activity center with mom and dad. The boys got to decorate a treasure chest and go on a treasure hunt. The boys favorite part was going into the dark room with their flashlight and crawling through the tunnel. Their friends Clay and Will were there too and all the boys had so much fun together.

Little Swimmers

On Saturday, we filled the pool up to have some fun. The boys loved getting to splash around. They would make circuits between the kangaroo climber and pool. They had so much fun splashing around and playing. Meredith even wore her swimsuits but didn't get in the pool because the water was too cold. Maybe next time!

6 Weeks

11 lbs 13 oz . . . She's getting so BIG!! The reason we know her weight is because we had to take her to the doctor because she was sick. They said she has an upper respiratory infection. They didn't give me anything fo her just had to wait it out. She's getting close to sleeping through the night and starting to smile. She's starting to get a little less fussy and more fun to play with. Before we know it she'll be a year old.

Week 2 of Swim Lessons

This week the boys are in two different classes and it makes for a little more difficulty, but we were able to manage. I stayed with Hudson's class and watch Cameron from across the pool. Hudson did great the first two days. He had no fear and had a lot of fun. Cameron did well too. He still was having trouble floating on his own. On the last day, Grammy came to watch the boys swim. On that day, Hudson refused to put his head in the water and pitched several fits. Come to find out the next day, he had an ear infection and swimmer's ear in his right ear. Now I don't blame him. After lessons, we all went Chick-fil-a to play and have a shake.

One month old!

On July 11th, Meredith turned one month. It's hard to believe she's been here that long. She's holding her head up well. The boys still love her and constantly want to help. We are starting to get out and about now. She's still pretty fussy before bedtime, but sleeps pretty well at night. Her baby acne is starting to clear up some so we are starting to take more pics again. She's wearing a dress her Nana made her.

Swim Lessons!

On July 5th we started the first week of swim lessons. Cameron was so excited to get to do it again this year. Hudson was excited til it was time to get into the pool. He didn't want to get in the water because he thought I would leave him. He was getting upset due to separation anxiety. Cameron loved his class especially since Emma was in the class too. Finally on the third day, Hudson decided to get in the water and had a great time because he got to play and go down the slide. On Thursday, Cameron passed the test and Hudson almost passed the test. They both did a good job and so did Meredith.

Hudson is 2!!

On July 2nd, Hudson turned two! That Friday morning we took him to get his two year pic taken and he did an amazing job. Afterwards we went to the Mills to visit the Disney store so he could spend some of his birthday money. He bought the set of Toy Story 3 figures. He was so happy. Then we went to eat Chick-fil-a.
The next day we had Hudson's Buzz Lightyear party. It was suppose to be a water party but we postponed those festivities for the afternoon. All the family showed up with a ton of presents. Nana, Papa, Aunt Jenna, Uncle Jacob, Aunt Jenny, Uncle Josh, Cousin Emma, Grammy, Papa Curt, cousin Alex, and Uncle Drew all came in town for the party. Hudson opened all his presents and only one of them wasn't related to Toy Story. Hudson was all buzzed out after opening all his gifts. After gifts we had some yummy cupcakes. The kids dug in immediately.
After nap time, Uncle Bruce, Aunt Betty, and cousin Lauren came to watch the water festivities. We set up the pool and slip 'n' slide. We even filled up water balloons. It was so cute watching the boys try to slide. They didn't quite get it. Cameron would do an army crawl all the way down and Hudson would run straight into the tunnel and fall. Then the big kids showed them how it was really done. I'll try and get my video uploaded if I can along with my pictures of his party.
Until then check out Papa Curt's pictures at www.danbecky.com.
