Christmas with Grammy and Papa Curt

On Saturday we celebrated Christmas with Grammy, Grandpa Curt, Aunt Emily, and Uncle Drew. You wouldn't believe the amount of presents they brought with them. Cameron loved every second of it. He had the unwrapping down to a science. He would unwrap the present and then stick it in his pile if it was something he really liked. If it was something he wasn't as excited about it, it went into Hudson's pile. Several of Hudson's presents ended up in his pile too.

Curt gave us a website on Saturday that already has pictures uploaded on it. The video section is a work in progress so please be patient. Go check it out. www.danbecky.com

Papa Campbell

On Thursday, Papa C came to see us because he was in town for business. He hadn't seen the boys in 2 months. It's amazing how much they change in a short period of time. Cameron was very excited to see Papa and play cars with him. Hudson was excited too.

We're on a Roll!

Today, Hudson decided he was finally ready to roll over. He's been rolling alot, but never completely over. He'd roll from his back to his side and back. He'd even roll from his back to his stomach, but wouldn't finish it because he didn't want to lay on his tummy. Well today he decided to go all the way and I took a few pics after he did it. He celebrated by spitting. You'll see the string in the pictures.

Reindeer Food

On Saturday we made reindeer food. This food is to help Santa's reindeer spot your house and give them a tasty treat to snack on while Santa puts your presents under the tree. On Sunday Cameron sprinkled it in our front yard. Hopefully the squirrels don't eat it all before Christmas Eve!

Santa Baby

This weekend we went to Christmas in Parker Square despite the windstorm. We were hoping to get some pictures with Santa. When we saw Santa the week before, Cameron loved him. So we were hoping he would love this one too, but we had no such luck. We tried everything imaginable to get him to take a picture, but he clung to me with all his might. However we got a good shot of Hudson. Afterall it's his first Christmas.

While there we did some of the activities, like ride the train, make reindeer food, watch car races, and draw on tiles. Cameron loved it, especially getting to watch the cars race because he so obsessed with the movie Cars.

Yummy cookies

Last week Cameron and I made sugar cookies. Or should I say, I bought the dough and rolled it out and we used christmas cookie cutters. I then let Cameron pour sprinkles all over them. What a mess! The cookies weren't pretty and it was very hard to tell what the shape was suppose to be, but they were obviously edible.

The tree is up

On Saturday after naps, we got the tree decorated. Cameron was a great helper. Of course we had to move the ornaments after he put them on the tree. Mostly because he liked to put them all in the same place instead of spreading them out. Hudson watched and yelled the whole time wishing he was mobile enough to join in on the fun.

Gaylord

No I'm not talking about "Meet the Parents", but the amazing hotel that's just down the street from us. In the past 3 years we've lived here, Dan and I had never been til today. We took the boys to see the Christmas decorations, not that Hudson was paying attention because he slept most of the time. They had lots of trains which Cameron absolutely loved and a life size gingerbread house, YUMMY! We went to see Santa thinking Cameron would cry like last year, but he ran right up to him and started barking out his Christmas list. Sorry there's no pictures of that. We didn't want to pay $15 for one when we'll see Santa again next weekend and get one for a lot less. We had a great time and plan to make this a family tradition!

5 months old

Another month has flown by and Hudson is 5 months old. This month he has learned to laugh at things when he thinks they are funny , particularly he's brother. He's starting to scoot more. He's discovered his toes. He has started eating veggies as of yesterday.
Today we put up the tree in Cameron's room and Hudson had fun watching and laughing. Cameron and I weren't quite sure what we did that was so funny.

Thanksgiving

On Wednesday we packed up the van with a ton of stuff because you never know what you may need with two kids and headed up to Tulsa to spend Thanksgiving with Dan's family. We had lots of fun, food and good times. The best part was getting to watch Dan's grandparents who are 90 and 91 get to hold their great grandchildren. More pictures of the trip and this past month will be in the November folder on the left.

Last Week . . .

Okay, sorry I haven't updated, but we've been busy getting ready for Turkey Day. Here's the highlights. . . Last week Cameron learned how to dunk with a little help. Hudson and Cameron also played a lot together. Hudson laughs and smiles at Cameron all the time. He loves getting attention from him. Hudson hung out with his Dad and watched some football. He also started using his walker even though he doesn't make it move very far. Hudson also discovered his toes and will grab them when he can reach them. We had a pretty good week and our now looking forward to some yummy turkey. Like Cameron will ever eat turkey!

4 years of wedded bliss

Or something like that. =) On Thursday was our 4 year anniversary. It's hard to imagine what life was like before or what life would be without the other. We have been truly blessed in our four years to have our home and two precious boys. We didn't do anything big, just spent time together which is the best thing you can do. On Saturday we celebrated as a family by going to the Rainforest Cafe. Cameron didn't enjoy the restaurant as much as mommy and daddy did.

Happy 50th Birthday NANA!

Thursday was a big day for NANA. She turned 50. She doesn't look old enough to be a Nana, does she.

Week in Review

This week went by fast which was great, but now the weekend is here and it's going by just as fast. Why can't time slow down on the weekends? We all need more time to recoup before we have to start all over again. With that being said, here's the low down on the past week for all of you that are actually still reading this instead of just looking at the cute pictures.

Cameron finally had a successful trip to the photographer. This was our 3rd attempt on getting his picture taken. I don't have the will power to tell you about the other 2 trips. Cameron also wore his superman pj's for the first time this week even though they were too big. If he had his choice, he would wear them 24-7. Cameron can also count to 16. He doesn't care to go any higher than that, probably because we only have 16 steps on the staircase.

Hudson is doing a great job at eating cereal. He gets frustrated if you don't give it to him right when he wants it. They both will be going to the doctor on Tuesday for well checks. This is good because Hudson hasn't been feeling well since Wednesday. Last night he just fell asleep in Cameron's bed while we were getting Cameron ready for bed. His nose is faucet and has been rubbed raw from constant wiping. Cameron now has the same problem without the rawness. And now mom has gotten it too. Yuck!

We all got to see Grammy, Grandpa Curt and GREAT Aunt Betty today. We tried to get Cameron to say GREAT-Great Aunt Betty, but all he would say is Aunt Betty. We got to go to lunch and then the girls got to go xmas shopping. I actually have almost everyone done.

4 months old

Today Hudson is 4 months old. Time flies by too fast. He is very sociable and good natured. He loves to talk, spit, and gurgle. He especially likes to eat cereal now which could explain why he weighs at least 17 pounds. He sleeps from 8:30 to about 8:00 in the morning. YEAH for mom and dad! He holds himself up really well and attempts to scoot by using his toes. He doesn't get very far because his toes have a lot of weight to push!

Trick or Treat . . .

"Smell my feet!" We tried to teach Cameron the little rhyme to say when he went door to door. The only part he wanted to say was "Smell my feet!" and then he wanted you to do it or he might sniff yours. Cameron was dressed as a pirate and Hudson wore a skeleton onesie. At the beginning he wasn't so sure about this Trick or Treating thing, but was willing to try it because it involved candy. We set out and after going to the first house and realizing that people were just giving away candy, all Dan and I heard from that point on was "More, More, Please!" So we kept going until the mosquitoes got the best of me. Then Cameron started to pass out candy. If you're a cute girl you should of come to our house tonight because he would have given you a handful of candy.

Baby Cereal

At least that's what Cameron calls it. On Wednesday we fed cereal to Hudson for the first time even though he's not 4 months until Sunday. He's been reaching for food for weeks so I figured we'd give it a shot. The boy has no trouble gobbling up what you give him. He was so excited to get food he was trying to help me get the spoon into his mouth. Cameron was right there cheering him on and was in charge of clean up detail.

Rrrrghh . . Matey! Cameron will be 2!

Of course if you ask him he'll say that he's going to be SIX! We had a fun filled weekend. On Friday Josh, Jenny, and cousin Emma came in town and went to the pumpkin patch with us. Later that night Jacob and Jenna made it into town too. Then on Saturday, the festivities began! Cameron had a pirate party with swords, hats, gold dabloons and lots of cake. Some of Cameron's friends came to the party as well as lots of family. Grammy, Grandpa Curt and Emily came over with a truckload of presents. Grandpa Curt got some good pics so check out his site under Hudson and Cameron's link.

Cameron had a blast. He got a ton of presents. Now mom and dad have to find a place for all this fun stuff. It's hard to believe that tomorrow Cameron will have been with us for 2 years! And not to leave Hudson out, he enjoyed getting to play with his cousin Emma and see all his family. Check out the pictures on the left of our fun filled weekend.
