New Park

The park close to our house got new playground equipment so on Saturday we went to check it out. Hudson's favorite part is still the swings. Cameron loved climbing around everything through the nets and up the rocks. He was our little spidermonkey.

Big Boy

Everyday, Hudson learns something new and becomes more and more like a little boy. Last Tuesday he decided he's going to start eating at the little table like his big brother. Then his big brother joined him. Cameron sat on the window sill so he looks smaller, but he's still the big brother.

Swim Lessons

Starting the week of the 13th, Cameron began his swim classes at 8:10 in the morning which was a challenge to get there with 2 little ones. It lasted for 2 weeks and they taught Cameron a lot of basics about water safety and swimming. Cameron loved going each day, especially because 2 of his friends, Will and Clay, were going to be there too. The best part of swim classes each day was watching the boys stretch. Pictures don't do it justice, but jumping jacks was the funniest thing you would have ever seen. On the last day the kids got to play and Cameron had a blast splashing around in the freezing cold water.

A really hot week

The weekend on the 11th began one of the hottest and hardest couple of weeks we've had in a really long time and part of the reason I'm so far behind on all of these blogs. Our AC broke and it happened to be when it was 100+ here. It got up to 99 degrees in our house so we had to leave and go stay in hotel while we waited for the warranty company to approve the fixes and of course not pay for the hotel while they took their time processing the claim. We stayed in hotel until Thursday because Cameron had started his swim lessons and because it took that long to find out that the warranty company was going to deny our claim. Later on that day they changed their minds and approved the fix. However, it wasn't going to be fixed until at least Saturday. We then went to stay in Arlington with Papa Curt on Thursday and Friday night. While there we went swimming and on Saturday we went to the park with Papa Curt. Check out pictures from the park at http://www.danbecky.com/.

Don't you wish you could fall asleep anywhere?

Obviously Hudson can. A couple times in the past several weeks when Hudson missed his morning nap, he'd fall asleep in his highchair while he was eating lunch. This has happened on more than one occasion as you can see. It cracks me up because I can wipe him off, take his bib off, and bang on pots and he'd still never wake up.

Fountains

The week after the fourth, on Monday we went to Highland Village to eat and play. Grammy and Uncle Drew came with us and Dan met us there. After eating we let the boys play in the fountains (by boys I mean Uncle Drew too). Hudson was hilarious to watch because he has no fear right now and loved getting blasted by the water. Cameron was more apprehensive at first, but quickly decided to take his shirt off and run through the fountains with Hudson. Both the boys were completely drenched when we left. Luckily I brought extra clothes.

July 4th

On the fourth, the four of us and Uncle Drew went to the Flower Mound children's parade. Cameron loved it except for the fact that the fire truck didn't throw him any candy. After the parade they had bounce houses set up for the kids to play on. It was so hot that day that the bounce houses were to hot to touch so after one slide we left and we to Chick-fil-a to eat and play. We all were glad to be in air conditioning and out of the 100 degree weather.

July 3rd

On Friday July 3rd, we (Dan, me, Cameron, Hudson, and Uncle Drew) headed to Arlington to spend the day with Grammy and Papa. We went swimming. The boys had so much fun splashing around and spraying daddy with their water guns. Then we barbequed and played some more.

Little swimmers

After Hudson's party on the 27th, later that weekend we set up his play set, new pool, and sprinkler. We had a little water party just the four of us. Hudson and Cameron loved the new pool even thought the water was a little cold.

Now he's officially one

Hudson basically got to celebrate his birthday all week. I wish we we could do that. The decorations still are up and need to come down, but both the boys love having them up. On Thursday, my baby became offically a little boy. Proof being when we went to Boomerangs I had to actually pay for him to play since he was one now. So that stunk, but Hudson and Cameron had tons of fun playing for his birthday. Plus Uncle Drew got to come in town to spend the day with us since he didn't get to come in for the party the weekend before. After bouncing around we went to Steak and Shake and then home to open presents. We all had a great time!
