Pulling Up

On Wednesday, Hudson started pulling up on stuff. He's been trying for awhile, but finally mastered it. That day he was doing it on the fireplace, bench and suitcases. A got a few pictures of him pulling up on the suitcase. On Friday, Cameron and I were eating popcorn in the family room. I had to go into the kitchen to get something so I put the bowl of popcorn on the couch. I turn around to come back and Hudson is standing up, holding onto the couch with the bowl on his head and popcorn all on the floor. He even had a piece in his mouth I had to fish out. Hudson is a sneaky one. He waits until you're not paying attention to get what he wants.

Boomerang

Since Dan was gone the majority of the week, last Saturday we decided to have a fun family day. We went to a place called Boomerangs. It's a building filled with giant bounce houses and games. Cameron loved it and Hudson enjoyed it a little too. After that we had lunch at Chick-fil-a and played some more in their play area. We then went to the Icee store "AKA" Target to get a few things. Then after naps we went over a friends house to play eat. Cameron loved every minute of it and stayed dry the whole time too!

Cameron's Girl-friend

We joke about Emma being his girlfriend and if he understood what it meant, I'm sure he'd be saying; "Mom, she's just a girl and a friend." However, he sure does like her a lot. She's one of the first people he wants to see as soon as church is over. He was even caught holding her hand on the way out of the church building on Wednesday night. Cameron loves playing with her and she got to come over and play last Friday.

First Tooth

On Monday, I discovered that Hudson was beginning to get his first tooth. His snotty nose tipped me off. So we started him on puffs this week. Cameron loves feeding them to him. Hudson has also started crawling, backwards crawling. No it's not scooting, it is actually crawling but instead of moving forward he goes in reverse. So in a couple weeks I imagine he'll be all over the place. Watch out Cameron! And no you can't see the tooth in this picture.

Valentines

This year for Valentine's Day, Cameron had some friends over for a V-day party. He had so much fun he's asked me to do it again. It's hard explaining to a 2 year old that holidays only come once a year. On Saturday morning he was even more excited because he got some mini cars and spiderman candy. Hudson only wanted to eat his valentines. That's why he got a sippy cup. Of course the day wasn't over, they got to have grammy and papa Curt come over and play with him and Hudson while mom and dad got to go out to dinner by themselves. What a fun weekend!

Potty Training

On Monday, it's been 2 weeks since we started our potty training boot camp. The first couple days were pretty rough on both Cameron and me. By the 3rd and 4th day we were starting to get the hang of it, and by the first weekend Cameron was wearing underwear full time at home, except naps and staying dry. We still couldn't get him to go number 2, though so Dan and I bribed him with Madgascar 2 if he would do it and he did. Since then, it's been hit or miss, but he's going potty on the toilet all the time, of course with the occasional accident if you don't make it to the potty on time. Last Wednesday, he even told his teachers that he needed to go to the potty. She took him and he looked at her and said, "I think I need my mommy." So they got me and we made it in time. It's hard to believe how quickly he's growing up!

Bathtime

Since Hudson is sitting up pretty well, he now gets to bathe/play in the big tub with Cameron. Hudson's favorite thing is to play with the water that comes from the faucet. This could be because he watches his big brother do it all the time . . . monkey see, monkey do.

7 months old

Hudson is on the downhill slope to his first birthday. It seems like just yesterday day I had him, but on Groundhog's Day he turned 7 months old. Hudson is a great baby. Very rarely do you ever see him cry except for when he gets jealous of Cameron, usually has to do with food or a toy. Hudson is attempting to crawl now but still has a ways to go. He's trying to pull up and stand. When he does, he has no fear and just leaps toward whatever it is that he wants. Cameron and Hudson are really starting to play together well. We're still working on sharing, but they are going to be best friends.
