So Big!

Yesterday was Cameron's 18 month check up. He is officially now 31 inches tall and weighs 21 lbs 4 oz. He had a little growth spurt with his heighth the past 3 months. He is now in the 15% range for heighth instead of 3% and has almost doubled his initial length of 16 inches. His weight is still in the 3 percentile for his age group. Oh well, it makes it easier on me that he's little.

Besides growth developmently he's where he needs to be and then some. On Monday, Dan and I picked him up from the day care in the gym. As he walked out of the gate to me, I told him he stunk. Then I asked him "Do you have a dirty diaper?" Cameron said, "I do." The babysitters and another mom started laughing because this little baby was talking like a big boy. Of course, Cameron thought it was funny too.

Time flies!

Today Cameron is officially a year and half. These past 18 months have gone by really fast. We are truly blessed to have had him in our lives for the past year and half. In about two more months Hudson Taylor will be here and Cameron will become a big brother. Our lives will become even more exciting if that's possible.

Bluebonnets

Today Grammy and Grandpa Curt came over to spend the day. We went to lunch and then to take pictures in a nearby field of bluebonnets. For those of you that aren't from Texas, bluebonnets are the state's flower. Rumor has it that it is illegal to pick them. If so, I guess Cameron and I are definitely in trouble. After doing a little research, this is in fact not true at all.

For those of you that don't know, Cameron absolutely does not like to touch grass or have it touch him. That's why you might see a few funny faces in the pictures. After taking several pictures we did find out we were trespassing. If we had walked a little further, we would have seen the sign that asked people to admire the bluebonnets from the road. Oops! Afterwards, Cameron was really thirsty from posing for the camera.

In the next couple of days, Grandpa Curt should have a few pictures on the his website too. He took some of all three of us. His link is on the left side under favorite sites.

Cousin Emma's Shower

On Friday Cameron, Nana, and I drove to Houston so we could go to Baby Emma's shower on Saturday. Cameron was the best he has ever been on the car ride down. We all stayed at Josh and Jenny's apartment. By all I mean, Jacob and Jenna too. We had fun together. Mom loved the fact that Cameron can say her name now.

I got to see one of my good friends since the shower was at her house. Cameron had a lot fun playing on their slide. Jenny had a great turn out and got a lot of fun stuff for Emma. We went to Southside on Sunday morning. It was a little wierd taking Cameron to class in a place where I use to go to Bible class. It was so good to see old friends. We wish we could see them more often. Can't wait for my niece to be here as well as our new son Hudson. Get a good laugh at the pictures of Jenny and I.
