It's a
GIRL!!!! For those of you that don't know already. We are having a girl named Meredith the beginning of June. She is the answer to Cameron's prayers. We think he's true motive in wanting a sister is the fact that he thinks that he won't have to share his toys. I'd post an ultrasound pic, but all of them look like blobs. None of them came out clear. We are praying that Meredith and mommy will remain healthy throughout the rest of the pregnancy.

18 months means time for a big bed
On the 2nd of January, Hudson turned 1 1/2. Since Hudson is a big boy now, we decided that he was ready for a twin size bed in a room with his big brother. We had Grammy come over to watch the boys so Dan and I could make over the room. We painted the room, put together new beds and put everything back together for the boys new construction truck room. The following Monday, Hudson got to try his new bed out for the first time at naptime. He didn't stay in it for long. We had a battle of wills for almost 2 hours. I eventually won. That night Hudson did great and Dan thought I made the whole afternoon up. After that, each day got a little easier and now the boys are doing pretty well. Now we can get the nursery ready for our new little one.
Big 3 - 0 !
Sunday, the day before my birthday, Cameron, Hudson and Dan decided to throw me a surprise party that I happen to know about. So Sunday night they went home before I did to get everything ready. When I got home, they met me at the door with a small cake with lots of candles. They sang happy birthday and showed me the birthday decorations. They had a birthday banner and mickey mouse decorations. Cameron picked out a mickey mouse yoyo as his present to me, but that wasn't the only present they got me. Dan took Cameron shopping and they picked out some pretty silver and gold earrings from James Avery.
So it never hit me that I was turning 30, I just enjoyed getting to spend the weekend with my sweet boys. Hopefully, it won't hit me for a while that I've turned 30.

Christmas in Tulsa
The day after Christmas we began our trek up to Tulsa. The roads were clear until about 45 minutes outside Tulsa and then we were bouncing and moving pretty slow until we got there. All of us were very happy to get out of the car and to get to see the family. We all got together and ate a yummy Christmas dinner. Then we went for round 2 of Christmas. It was unbelievable how many presents were under the tree. The boys and us were extremely spoiled.
On Sunday, church was canceled because of road conditions so we all worshipped as a family at Betty and Bruce's house. It' was so great to be able to share this experience with our family. After lunch, Hudson went down for a nap, but Cameron, Dan and I went outside to play in the snow. Uncle Drew came out to join us and we all had a snowball fight. It was a lot of fun, but very cold. Cameron ran inside when it got to cold for him to get some hot chocolate before taking his nap.
The rest of the time we were there we played, ate tons of food, went shopping and spent a great time with family. We hated to leave everyone, but at the same time the boys were glad to get back to all of their new toys and to their own beds.

A White Christmas!
On Christmas morning we woke to the white covered ground and a tree surrounded by tons of presents. The boys were so excited to see what Santa had brought them. Cameron was great about opening presents. He would open one and keep going because he was excited to see the next one. He even opened several of Hudson's presents because he didn't care to open any after he opened his Buzz Lightyear action figure. I think Cameron's favorite thing was the Batcave that Grammy and Papa Curt gave him.
After lunch we were suppose to go up to Tulsa for Christmas dinner and spending the Holiday with Dan's family, but we ended up staying home because the roads were too icy in Oklahoma. Since I hadn't bought anything to make for Christmas dinner, Dan ran to Jack in the Box, pretty much the only place open. We think we might actually make this a Christmas tradition. It sure would be a lot easier on me. We had a wonderful day as a family, and Cameron is already talking about next Christmas.

Snowy Christmas Eve

It started snowing today and according to the meterologist this would probably the only time in our lives we'd have snow on Christmas Eve or a White Christmas. So we had to take advantage of it, even though the wind was blowing like crazy. As soon as we got outside Cameron wanted to go back in because it was so windy, but Hudson was having a blast sticking his tongue out catching snowflakes. We went inside to go to the front and Hudson started balling because he wanted to stay outside, but instantly calmed down once he knew his time in the snow wasn't over. Cameron then started throwing snowballs and having more fun like his brother. Then we all ran in to get hot chocolate and warm up.
