Fun in the Sun!

After all the snow, gloom and dreariness, we finally had a beautiful day! We had so much fun playing outside today in the backyard. We blew bubbles, played soccer, and played on the kangaroo climber. The boys were so happy to be outside for a change and get their much needed Vitamin D.

Meredith's Room

Since the boys room has been redone we had to make over the nursery a little bit to make it fitting for a little girl. We bought new bedding. Since it didn't come with any wall art, Mom and I made some pictures for it too. The closet is filling up with clothes and I'm trying to sort out all of the boys' old clothes for a future nephew. Once I get the room completely cleaned, I'll post some pictures. Now all we need is Meredith to arrive. Her tentative arrival date is June 11th.

Children's Museum

Nana and Papa were in town for the past week. Last Friday, Dan, Nana, the boys and I went to the Children's Museum. The boys had so much fun playing and learning. Cameron's favorite things to do were milking the cow (yes they actually could do this to a fake cow, pretty funny to watch) and digging for dinosaur bones. The theme of the museum right now is dinosaurs and there was a big area filled with dirt where the kids could pretend to be archaeologists and dig for bones. This was probably Hudson's favorite. He was filthy and didn't want to get out when it was time to go.

Almost the whole time Nana and Papa were here they stayed in a hotel since Papa was here for work. Hudson and Cameron loved picking up Nana because that meant they got to ride the elevator on occasions and see the waterfall. The boys had lots of fun while they were here playing, shopping, and going to see a movie. On Saturday we saw the Princess and the Frog. This was the first movie that Hudson got to see in the theater and he did great. He's favorite part was eating the popcorn. After they left, Cameron asked the next day if he could see them, not understanding how far away they live. Hopefully one day they'll be able to move closer.

*Pictures to come.

Valentine's Day

On Friday the 12th, we were supposed to have our Valentine party for the kiddos, but it had to be rescheduled due to snow. On Saturday, we gave the boys their Valentines. They each got a supervillian, one the Joker and the other the Penguin. We all had a nice day together. That night, Grammy came over to watch the boys so that Dan and I could out on a date. We went to Brios for dinner. We then picked up dessert at Cheesecake Factory. Yumm! On Monday, we finally got to have our V-day party with the kids at church. I completely forgot to take pictures in the midst of all the fun.

Fun in the Snow!!

12 inches of snow!! Who ever would have thought that Dallas would see that much snow in our lifetime or the boys lifetime. Of course we had to take full advantage of it. After getting dressed in a million layers, Dan and the boys made a fort and had several snowball fights. Hudson was happy to sit and just eat the snow especially since the snow was so deep for him to walk in. We all had so much fun, but are glad that we don't live in a place where this is a regular occurrence. After we came inside the boys all had hot cocoa and watched a 3D movie. More pictures are in the folder on the right.

It's a

GIRL!!!! For those of you that don't know already. We are having a girl named Meredith the beginning of June. She is the answer to Cameron's prayers. We think he's true motive in wanting a sister is the fact that he thinks that he won't have to share his toys. I'd post an ultrasound pic, but all of them look like blobs. None of them came out clear. We are praying that Meredith and mommy will remain healthy throughout the rest of the pregnancy.

18 months means time for a big bed

On the 2nd of January, Hudson turned 1 1/2. Since Hudson is a big boy now, we decided that he was ready for a twin size bed in a room with his big brother. We had Grammy come over to watch the boys so Dan and I could make over the room. We painted the room, put together new beds and put everything back together for the boys new construction truck room. The following Monday, Hudson got to try his new bed out for the first time at naptime. He didn't stay in it for long. We had a battle of wills for almost 2 hours. I eventually won. That night Hudson did great and Dan thought I made the whole afternoon up. After that, each day got a little easier and now the boys are doing pretty well. Now we can get the nursery ready for our new little one.
