Secret Agent Man . . . Future Lady Killer

The onesie is courtesy of Uncle Drew. Two out of three isn't bad. He's got a receding hairline, but he's not quite bald. Fat is an understatement. The kid is huge. Innocent, he is most of the time. I'm sure that will change with a little help from big brother.

Sharing

To be able to get changed and ready in the mornings, we have the bouncy seat in our bathroom. Hudson for the most part enjoys sitting in it as you can see.

Cameron doesn't like the fact that Hudson gets to have all the fun so he starts to whimper and whine. He even attempted to try and get him out of the seat. I think it's good for him to realize that he needs to share and he can't always have his way.

Needless to say, Cameron was very happy when I picked Hudson up.

Praying

The past week or two we've been trying to set a routine for Hudson that doesn't interfere with the routine we already have in place for Cameron. So after we get ready for bed we usually set both of them in Cameron's bed to say a prayer. Cameron loves this because he gets to hold Hudson's hand.

Fighting Texas Aggies

Since Hudson is so much bigger than Cameron was he fits into clothes sooner like Cameron's old "My first Aggie tee." Cameron saw him in it and pointed at the letters and said "A T." I was shocked he recognized both of them. I guess he doesn't know the letter "M" yet.

Anyway I saw this as a good opportunity for a photo op. It was hard to get them both to smile and look at the camera at the same time. I happened to capture a smile from Hudson with his eyes open for the first time. He's been smiling a lot lately and we finally have it documented.

29 and holding

Dan's birthday was on Saturday. We started the celebration on Thursday with Drew, Dan's brother, surprising him by flying in from Alabama. The celebration continued on Friday with more of Dan's family coming in town, Betty, Bruce, Alex and Lauren. On Saturday we went to Grammy and Grandpa's house to swim and eat hamburgers. Since I have 2 kids to keep track of (3 if you count Dan), it's much harder for me to get the Kodak moments captured. Hopefully Grandpa Curt faired better than I did. Dan only ended up in two pictures and the rest are of the boys, which is who you all want to see pictures of anyway.

There are no pictures of Cameron in the pool from my camera. He didn't want to get in. I have a feeling it's because he couldn't touch and walk around like he can in his pool. Instead he threw things in the water and climbed on rocks. Hudson is still to young to go swimming, maybe next summer. The rest of us had a good time.
On Sunday I think Cameron gave Dan the best birthday present ever. Dan asked him, "Who loves you?" Cameron's reply was "Daddy!" Everytime you ask him he gives the same response. I'm so glad he knows how much his Daddy loves him.

First Sunday

Today was Hudson's first Sunday at church so we took a couple of pictures of him before because he looked like a little baby doll. He's wearing an outfit Cameron got a lot of use out of. Unfortunately this will be the only time Hudson will wear it. As you can see we couldn't even button the top button. That could be because the kid unoficially weighs ll.6 lbs. Yes, this isn't a typo. Dan weighed himself first and then added Hudson with just his diaper on.

Services went fine. Cameron is still adjusting to having to share me and my lap. He's not a big fan of me leaving when I have to take Hudson out which I only had to do to rock him to sleep and feed him.
The other picture was taken after VBS one day this week. Cameron did have clothes on when we went to church. We took them off afterwards and let him play with stickers.

One Month

Today Hudson is one month old. Sometimes it feels like we just got him and other times it feels like we've had him forever. He's doing really well. He's very healthy "AKA" a little butter ball. He's also very strong and alert. Today he finally got his first real bath with his brother since his cord finally fell off yesterday. All in all he's day was pretty good. How nice would it be to have someone feed you, change you, bath you, massage you, and hold you?
