Easter Weekend

This weekend the four and a half of us (yes I count for one and half people now) went up to Tulsa for the weekend. On Saturday almost all of Dan's family and us went to the Oklahoma Aquarium. Cameron had a lot of fun especially with the exhibits he could actually interact with. He even tried to make his fish lips.

On Sunday morning the Easter bunny came to see him. The Easter bunny brought Cameron a basket full of goodies. Then we all got ready for church. Cameron looked like a sharp little man in his suit and tie. We particularly like his GQ pose.

After church we all got together for lunch. Dan and I hid Easter eggs in the backyard. It took a few minutes for Cameron to catch on but he got the hang of finding the eggs and putting them in his basket. Anytime someone would try and show him where an egg was he would try and go find one for himself. He wants so much to be a big boy. He even figured out that there was candy inside the eggs and how to get it out. We all had a good weekend.

A little boy in a BIG bed

Cameron is becoming more and more like a big boy everyday, at least we tell him he's big even though he's still so little. He decided today after us talking about his new room that he actually wanted to sleep in his new big boy bed. He walked right up to the bed rail and said night night. So I picked him up, layed him down and he is still fast asleep even though it's storming outside. Sorry the pictures are dark. I didn't want to wake him with the flash. What a sweet little man!

Sweet Home Alabama

We took a short trip this past weekend to Athens (Huntsville), Alabama where I grew up. It's hard to believe it had been a year since we had been there or seen some of my family. Cameron has changed so much in the past year that it was really neat to see my grandparents reaction to him. It was good to see family and friends. I love the atmosphere there. It's just a slower pace of life.
The best part of the trip for Dan was getting to spend time with his brother Drew. It was fun to watch the 3 boys playing outside. Cameron loves being outdoors and never wants to come in. I should get my pictures next week and I'll post them then.

Let it Snow!

Twice in one week in March is pretty unbelievable saying that it was 70 degrees the day before each time. Yesterday we got 1 to 3 inches so Cameron, Dan and I went outside to play for a few minutes. Dan got to come home a little early because of the weather. Cameron had a lot of fun especially when we went for a wagon ride. When it was time to go in because Dan and I were too cold, Cameron started crying because he wanted to stay out and play. Here are a few pictures of our fun in the snow.

My best friend

We don't think the feeling is mutual but Cameron absolutely loves Atlas our dog. He even calls him his baby. Atlas tolerates Cameron especially when Cameron wants to ride Atlas like horse. Who knows, maybe secretly he likes all of the attention.

Family Came to Visit

Cameron's great grandpa and great grandma came to visit this weekend which is pretty impressive since they are 90 and 89. They came down with Dan's Aunt Betty and cousin Lauren. Grammy came over to play too as you can see. Cameron was a wonderful entertainer as usual. He showed off his dance moves and word skills. He's saying several more words the past few weeks. Here's he's extensive vocabulary: ball, mom, dad, dog, baby, bowl, book, milk, please, light, water, car, cracker, bible (i-e), amen, and banana. I'm sure I'm leaving a few out. He'll even make sounds for his favorite animals like lions, bears, monkeys, birds, snakes, cows, and goldfish. He also likes to help with chores around the house like picking up trash, recycling, unloading the dishwasher, sweeping, and laundry. Cameron is going to be such a good helper when his little brother comes along.

Cameron's Little . . .

Brother! Yes we are having another boy and are very excited about it. He's name will probably be Hudson Jones. We still haven't decided exactly what the middle name will be. He is due July 10th but will most likely make his appearance at the end of June. Please pray for us that everything will continue to go well with this pregnancy. Four more months to go!
