Hey Batter!

Cameron has started t-ball practice. The practices are hilarious because no one knows what they are doing. They are starting off by hitting and learning how to run the bases. Cameron is catching on really quick. Hudson loves going to watch because he gets to play on the playground. It's still hard to believe that we have a kid old enough to play t-ball. Can't wait for his games!

8 months old

Meredith is growing like a weed. She is all over the place and into everything. She doesn't like hearing the word "no" but is a smart cookie and understands what it means and will stop what she's doing after flashing a grin. She is definitely becoming more interactive and fun to play with. The boys are taking more of an interest in her now. She follows them around the house. She particularly loves to play Buzz with Hudson. It's hard to believe that she's getting so close to her first birthday!

Love is in the Air!

The Thursday before Valentine's Day, we had our annual Valentine's Party with the kids at church. All the kids decorated their boxes and passed out their Valentines. Then we all enjoyed some yummy snacks and time to play and chat. The big hit of the party was the delicious cookies made by Sweet Alchemy!

Snow Fever!

One whole week of staying in the house. This is quite a long time to stay trapped indoors with 3 kids. By day two, we were all driving each other crazy. The snow was beautiful and definitely a once in a lifetime thing, but we were ready for it to be melted by the end of the week. The snow was perfect for playing in and even making snow cream. The best part of it was the snow ball fights. To see some of the pictures of our fun times in the snow, check out www.danbecky.com. Pictures are up of some of the fun in the 2011 album "Let it Snow."

Meeting Sweet Olivia

Finding the right words, might fail me, but I want to start first by thanking the many, many people that have offered their sympathy, love, kind words, and prayers for the entire family during this time. It's amazing to be part of the Christian family. The love and support you've shown Josh, Jenny, Emma, and Olivia has been overwhelming and abundant. This time is very bittersweet and unimaginable to most. We rejoice in the healthy arrival of little Olivia and our excited about what the future holds for her. We also mourn in the loss of our dear sweet Hannah, but because we have the hope of salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord we know we will meet her again. A passage that I have held close to my heart this past week is I Thess. 4:13-18. I find comfort in knowing when the Lord comes back we will meet her "in the clouds." (vs. 17)

We were blessed with getting to meet tiny Olivia a couple weeks ago. She is adorable and tiny and so sweet. What a blessing and great addition to our family!!

Baseball

So I signed Cameron up for tee-ball last week and to get him ready for playing we have been practicing a little. By little, I mean usually about 10 minutes at a time. That's about the longest the sport has held his attention so I hope it goes better for his first practice. We've been playing in the backyard using the gloves and batting apparatus they got for Christmas from nana and papa. The boys I think are more interested in the music the batting machine makes than actually hitting the ball. They do get a little better each time and by the time his first game roles around I hope he'll actually run to right base, first.

Meredith enjoyed watching and cheering her brother's on.

Snow Day

January 9th we saw our first snow of the winter season. It wasn't a lot, but it was enough to get out and play in for a minute or two. Of course this was a first for Meredith. She liked being outside with all of us, but she's not a big fan of the cold. I don't blame her, neither am I. The boys loved it! They had a snowball fight with their daddy. After the boys demolished their dad, they came inside soaked to the bone (at least Hudson was) ready to drink hot chocolate and eat popcorn.
