On Saturday, March 27th we participated in our first Easter Egg Hunt out of 3 to happen this year. We got there early so the boys enjoyed playing at the park while waiting for the festivities to be set up. While we were waiting we went to meet Mr. & Mrs. Easter Bunny. Surprisingly, neither of the boys were the least bit scared, probably because they were going to get candy. As you can see, Hudson only cared about that and not looking up for the photo op. After seeing the bunny we got ready to hunt eggs. Hudson was on one field with ages 0-2 with Dan while I went to another field with Cameron for ages 3-4. To signal it was time to start a firetruck blew it's horn and the boys were off. Cameron got to hunt with his "best friend" Emma (that's what he called her today) and his friend Ryan. On Cameron's field that had candy scattered everywhere. I kept trying to get Cameron to pick up the good stuff and all he wanted was the dum-dums. Dan said Hudson got of to a slow start after the horn but quickly figured out what to do. He filled his bucket up, partly by snatching eggs before the slower kids could get to him. Dan said he dominated and that his toy story bucket was the envy of his age group. The boys had so much fun hunting eggs and being with their friends. They were even more excited to dig into the candy they had collected.
The next day the boys dyed their Easter eggs. They had so much fun dropping the eggs in the dye and mixing colors. Hudson had to take his clothes off to get in on the action. There are pictures in the folder on the right of all the Easter festivities.
