Climber

Hudson now has become a problem solver. He will find an object, preferably a stool, and carry it to the point of interest. He will then use it to reach whatever it is that has been purposely placed out of his reach. If a stool can't be found, pillows stacked on top of each other works or even the use of big brother's back can become a stool. Hudson can climb into the kitchen table chairs and the rocking chair all by himself and when he has accomplished the task at hand, you will see a satisfying grin come across his face right before he realizes he's been caught.

Grammy's Birthday

Last Saturday we had Grammy, Papa Curt, and Emily come over to celebrated Grammy's birthday. We went to McAllisters to eat lunch. After lunch we went to the park and played and played and played. Papa took a ton of pics. Check them out at http://www.danbecky.com/. After that we went back to the house to open presents and eat cake. Cameron did a great job picking out the cake and Hudson loved getting to eat it. The boys loved getting to spend the day with their grandparents and celebrate Grammy's birthday.

Emma's Coming Over!

On Monday the 17th, the boys really wanted to do something but I was stuck at the house so I called Cam and Emma and asked them to come over. When they did, we had an impromptu swim party. The boys loved swimming with her and sliding and playing the sandbox. Both of the boys love having Emma around and Cam too!

Nana's visit

Nana came in on the 13th to come help me while I had surgery on my foot on that Friday. The boys were so excited to get to spend time with her and have their daddy home another Friday. Everyone did a great job taking care of me and waiting on me. Cameron loved curling up with me in the recliner, and I have to admit I loved it too. Nana also brought goodies for the boys and one of them was the outfit that Hudson wore on Sunday. She made it. We were all sad to see her go on Sunday, especially me.

The ducks try to get us

The second week of August before my surgery, I took the boys to the park to play and feed the ducks. If I can remember we bring old cheerios to feed the ducks. The ducks loved the cheerios so much or were starving, either way when the bag was gone they started following us hoping for more. It was kind of scary having a group of hungry ducks trying to get you especially when you're not much bigger than them. So after we got away from the ducks, we went to play, swing, climb, and slide. The boys had a blast and wanted to stay there with the ducks when it was time to go.

Big 3-0!!!!

On August the 8th, I flew back from Houston and then Grammy and Papa Curt came over to celebrate Dan's 30th birthday. We opened presents and ate yummy cookie cake. After the festivities were over, Grammy watched the boys so we could go to dinner and a movie. The boys had a great time, and I think Dan did to, even though he wasn't too excited about turning 30. I don't blame him. I'm not looking forward to it either.

24 hours of freedom

On August 7th, I got to fly to Houston by myself to go to a friends wedding. I had a full 24 hours completely by myself for the first time ever. Jenna picked me up and we headed to Jenny and Josh's new house. When we got there, I gave Emma a few goodies. I gave her some boots and you can she enjoyed wearing them. It was so much fun to get to go on this mini trip and see my family and friends. I wouldn't have been able to do it without my wonderful husband. He's the one who suggested I go and was willing to watch the boys for me. What a sweetie!
