Father's Day

We gave Dan one his presents before we left for Houston because it was too big to take with us and Cameron couldn't keep a secret. Dan got the guitar hero complete band set. Cameron was so excited about getting to play the drums he spilled the beans early.

On the actual day we went to Southside for church and out to dinner with my family. Then when we got back to the hotel, Dan got to open his other present. He got a picture book that he can read to the boys about how much they love him. After that we had to travel back. It wasn't as much fun as we hoped for, but we did enjoy spending the day together.

Emma's First Birthday

On the 2oth, Emma turned one year old. We celebrated in Houston at Josh and Jenny's house. Emma was so much fun to watch. She went nonstop the whole time. Cameron and Hudson had so much fun playing with Emma and watching her open up her presents. At some times it was hard to restrain them from trying to open her presents. They couldn't wait til she was done to play with all of them with her. Below are some pictures Jenny has posted.

Uncle "Dew" 'AKA' "Drew"

On Sunday June 14th, Uncle Drew, Grammy and Papa, came over to hang out. We got to eat yummy food and ice cream and play tons. Then on Monday, Drew came back over to spend the night and hang out. On Tuesday we went to Kid's Kastle. Hudson had fun swinging like always. Cameron had a blast playing with "Dew" and climbing and sliding. Cameron also had fun throwing cheerios at the ducks. Cameron can't wait til his Uncle "Dew" comes back.

Choo-choo!!!

Last Friday before we flew out that evening, we went to the museum of transportation in St. Louis. We got to see all sorts of trains and cars. Cameron loved climbing in the trains and playing on them. Hudson wanted to do it too, but isn't quite as mobile as Cameron yet so he didn't get to play as much. We all had a great time ringing the trains bell!

Big Foot

Last Thursday while we were still in St. Louis for my Aunt's funeral we got to see Big Foot. It's been since I was a little kid since I had been there. Cameron immediately ran up to the monster truck. Both the boys climbed into the wheels and loved walking underneath the truck. Inside they had a smaller truck for the boys to ride in. They absolutely loved riding in the truck and getting to take trucks home of their own.

Aunt Chris

Two weeks ago this Sunday, my Aunt Chris passed away after battling cancer. She will be truly missed by all her knew her. The above pictures were from when we were together in August for my granpa's funeral who also died from cancer. Hudson absolutely loved her. A few minutes after the picture was taken, he was fast asleep on her chest. To know her was to love her. My favorite thing about her was that she was always direct and to the point. She would tell you how it was. The reason she was able to be so direct was because she loved you more than you could ever know. If she could tell you anything now, she'd want you to know to remember and be thankful for what you have and don't take anything for granted because tomorrow isn't guaranteed. I ask those of you reading this to please pray for my mom's family, especially my cousin Jenny and Uncle Randy that they may receive comfort during these difficult times. We've lost 3 important people in the last 3 years and like my dad said "that's enough!"

High Stepper

On Friday May 29th, Hudson began taking his first steps. He took two in a row. On Saturday while I was out running errands, he took 3 steps for Dan. He keeps taking a few steps at a time, but isn't stringing it all together yet. It won't be long. By his birthday, he'll probably be all over the place.
