Born to be an Aggie!

Last week we took Hudson for his 6 month picture dressed up as an Aggie football player. He was so tired he hardly smiled at the studio expect in 3 pictures. Afterwards at home, I tried to get both Cameron and him to smile and look at the camera at the same time but it never happened. It could be because Cameron was sick that day. He didn't start feeling better until the weekend which was good because Grammy came over to spend the day with him.

True Colors

This photo pretty much says it all. Hudson is very laid back but definitely likes to have a good time. He'll try to make you laugh too by sticking out his tongue. He's so much fun!

Last 2 weeks

Sorry for not updating for the past two weeks. I've had the best of intentions but 2 little ones keep me pretty busy and Dan has been out of town some too. Imagine that! So here's the short version of what we've been up to. Cameron has been sick off and on for the past two weeks. He's not feeling well again this week. Hudson had a touch of the cough and drainage too but has faired pretty well. Cameron has become obsessed with Ironman. He'll go around saying "I am Ironman" and then start making shooting noises come from his hand. He wants to wear his Ironman shirt everyday and doesn't quite understand that things have to be washed first. We're still working on potty training and probably will be for awhile since he's regressing. I hear it's a phase that lots of boys go through. We started back to the gym and Cameron loves going to 24. He never wants to leave his friends when mom is done working out. Cameron has also started reading to himself. He looked at books before, but now he reads the book to himself either by memory or by looking at the pictures. He particularly likes Franklin 'aka' "Bacon" books. Cameron also loves to cook. He helped me make, I mean eat cookies last week.

Hudson is doing something new everyday. He now sits up and plays. He actively tries to play with Cameron. Hudson is drinking from a sippy cup and putting his pacifier in his mouth by himself. He can finally put his toes in his mouth too. He's belly doesn't get in the way anymore. Hudson has been jabbering for awhile, but is really starting to make more distinct sounds. He's so much fun to play with and watch with his big brother.

29 and holding

I now have one more year till the big 3-0! I plan on enjoying every minute of this coming year with my 3 handsome boys and wonderful family and friends.

6 months old

** Update***
Hudson's weight is 20lbs 4oz and he is 28 1/2 inches tall.
************

Thursday was Hudson's half birthday. It's hard to believe that he is a half a year from being one. Hudson is still a great baby. He's laid back and easy going. He's becoming more mobile. He's trying to crawl, but can only scoot right now. I'm sure he's weight doesn't have anything to do with why he doesn't get very far. He's drinking from a cup now and will eat any baby food you give him. I'll take him to the doctor on Tuesday and will update then how big he is. To give you an idea, he is wearing some 9 month, but mostly 12 month clothes. Hudson is my big, sweet boy! Don't you love the outfit nana made him!

Alabama Christmas

On Friday we loaded up and drove to Alabama to see my family. It tooks over 11 hours to get there, but the boys were really good for the most part. When we got there the boys opened presents from Jacob and Jenna since they were leaving in the morning. They got Cameron the pirate outfit. We also took a family picture that night with everyone and several pictures of all the grandchildren. Cameron absolutely loves his cousin Emma. The next morning we did Christmas with my parents, Josh, Jenny, Emma, Justin and Madeline. The next days we got to see Great Grandma and Grandpa Campbell, Grammy, Uncle Drew, Rita and Lindy, and Cheryl and Steve. Then on Wednesday we drove back to Texas. If you ask Cameron, he'll tell you that's where he lives.

Christmas

The night before Christmas we got dressed in our matching pj's and left cookies and egg nog for Santa. Hope Santa didn't mind that Cameron stole a few sips. Then we went off to snuggle into bed. The next morning after scarfing down our yogurt, we climbed down the stairs to see that Santa brought us a "choo-choo" table and many more presents. The train table was all Cameron wanted and it took some coaxing to get him to open more presents. The next present he opened was a set of cars and thus again he wanted nothing to do with opening more presents. Then he figured out that if he unwrapped all the presents then he could open the toys and play with them. The paper began to fly and Hudson tried his best to get a piece to chew on. Luckily Cameron gave Hudson a package of teething toys for Christmas. Once Hudson opened that with a little help from big brother, he was happy. From the looks of what the boys got from Santa, I'm guessing they were pretty good this year.
